Omikuji Fortunes

I have taken my guests who arrived by cruising to Tokyo sightseeing tour.



Since my guests were interested in history of Japan, I tried to explain intelligibly using pictures and maps.
We firstly headed to Sensouji temple in Asakusa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tokyo.

While we were at the temple, I described “Omikuji” as a fortune slip that tells your personal fortune. My guest tried it, and she picked the luckiest fortune, which says that she would have a very bright future. She seemed very happy to experience Japanese culture and told me that she felt like she was taking in so much of the culture Japan has to offer.

After we explored and took photos in Asakusa, and drove through Omotesando and Odaiba area, and I dropped them off at the famous Robot Restaurant in Shinjuku.

During the ride, my guests enjoyed the snack I prepared. They liked Osenbei rice crackers.
A few hours later, they got back to the car and talked about crazy stories of the Robot Restaurant to me. And we reached the hotel where they stayed, I thanked my guests and shook their hands and wished them luck on the rest of their journey.
